Anne Hathaway is willing to step in Selina Kyle's shoes if the "Batman vs. Superman" project wants to make it happen.

In an interview with MTV News, Hathaway explained she hadn't heard anything relating to the "Man of Steel 2" production about Catwoman. However, the actress did admit she would love to take on the role of Catwoman again in a solo film.

"I mean, I would love it if [a Catwoman movie] happened, but no one has talked to me about it and I think it's probably not gonna happen," Hathaway told MTV News.

The "Batman vs. Superman" production hasn't confirmed any additional casting news, but writer David Goyer is hard at work with the film's script. In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Goyer explained he isn't concerned about what fans want to see in the "Man of Steel" sequel, despite the Internet backlash the production has faced.

"You're dealing with an incredibly vocal but incredibly tiny sort of [group]," Goyer said. "That's a mistake that I think a lot of sometimes networks and movie studios make is sort of listening too much to [them]. I mean, it's important to listen to the fan chatter but you're really talking about a tiny, tiny, tiny portion of your audience that may not be representative of what your mainstream audience actually thinks or feels."

"I mean, I don't read everything that's out there," the writer continued in the CBR interview. "I wouldn't have the time. But we're aware of some of it, yeah, and it would be silly not to be. I think it's helpful, but at the same time, it's also, and I'm paraphrasing Steve Jobs, it's like you don't give the audience or the consumer what they want, you give them what they don't even know they want."

"Batman vs. Superman" will be released on May 6, 2016.
