The news surrounding missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 keeps getting sadder and sadder. A possible pilot suicide is once again being investigated after it was confirmed that it crashed somewhere in the southern Indian Ocean.

According to the Daily Mail, "a senior industry source" strongly believes that the plane was purposefully dropped to an extremely low altitude to knock out the passengers. Reportedly after the aircraft's last recorded communication, it was tracked by a military radar flying between 43,000 and 45,000 feet, the Daily Mail reports.

"It was tracked flying at this altitude for 23 minutes before descending," a source who wished to remain anonymous told the newspaper. "Oxygen would have run out in 12 minutes [in a depressurized cabin], rendering the passengers unconscious."

The expert said at that altitude the "atmosphere drastically thins" and it would take seconds, possibly minutes, for people to run out of oxygen. If this theory is true, the site reports that the passengers' oxygen masks would have dropped but they wouldn't have been much help. The masks would have only supplied between five and 10 minutes worth of gas, the expert said.

The anonymous expert claims that several other industry specialists have also come to the same conclusion. The theory goes on to say that after the passengers were knocked unconscious the pilot flew the plane to a remote part of the Indian Ocean.

Yesterday, authorities confirmed that Flight 370 had perished in the ocean. Prime Minister Najib Razak made the horrifying announcement in a press conference. He told media that, without a doubt, a UK satellite analysis was able to confirm that the airline was headed toward the southern part of the Indian Ocean where there was no place for the plane to land.

"MH370 flew along the southern corridor, and that its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, west of Perth," Razak said. "This is a remote location, far from any possible landing sites. It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data, flight MH370 ended in the Southern Indian Ocean."

Before the press conference was held the families of the 239 passengers were alerted of the news via a text message, which sparked massive outrage.
