Socialite Rob Kardashian was charged Friday with petty theft and misdemeanor battery. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday to all charges, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Kardashian was involved in an altercation with a photographer in March. He stood in front of Judge Marsha Revel, one of the multitudes of judges familiar with Lindsey Lohan, as she granted him a release on his own recognizance.

The situation arose from an attempt by a member of the paparazzi to snap a shirtless photo of the reality TV star who was working out and has been trying to lose weight.

Kardashian has already been sued for the incident by photographer Kassandra Perez, whose real name is Andra Viak. She purported that she was struck in the face and has injuries to her arm and chest. Kardashian is also accused of taking the memory card—which is allegedly worth $30,000. The memory card had 1,200 celebrity photos and 300 freelance pictures according to April 30 court documents acquired by E! News.

According to a statement fromt the Beverly Hills Police Department, "The paparazzi alleged that while she was photographing Rob Kardashian, he grabbed her camera and removed the memory card. During the struggle, the paparazzi stated that she was struck in the face by Rob Kardashian."

According to court papers, "Kardashian quickly put on a T-shirt, looked to each side and then suddenly and unexpectedly ran toward [Viak's] vehicle. Without saying a word, Kardashian reached into [Viak's] vehicle and violently attacked Viak, a woman half his size, in order to take [her] camera out of her hands."

Kardashian is taking the matter seriously. According to TMZ he was represented Wednesday by Robert Shapiro: one of the lawyers on the O.J. Simpson defense team. Kardashian’s late father, Robert Kardashian also worked the O.J. Simpson case.
