Sprint has launched a newly branded offer, Sprint Prepaid, for those customers who don't like the idea of long-term commitment contracts, but desires to have control with prepaid wireless service and smartphone for just $45 monthly.

Just like Virgin Mobile USA and Boost Mobile, two of Sprints popular prepaid brands, Sprint Prepaid is created for customers who don't want to be credit checked or has hit line limits. With this new plan, the customers will not receive a monthly bill as they need to pay in advance to use the wireless network's services.

"Our goal is to respond to customers' shifting demands by featuring a variety of wireless plans that meet different needs," said Jeff Hallock, chief marketing officer of Sprint, in a press release. "This new Sprint Prepaid offer allows us to play more competitively in the monthly prepaid space. Prepaid plans are a viable solution for many consumers, and we're now making these available to people who have an affinity for the Sprint brand, are looking for savings, and desire no-contract options without compromise."

In this program, Sprint is offering two affordable plans for smartphones, the "Smart" and the "Smart Plus." The "Smart" plan costs $45 with unlimited calls and text messaging, but just Wi-Fi ready. The "Smart Plus" plan, on the other hand, costs $60 with unlimited calls, text messaging, and data. However, it is just available for smartphones offered by Sprint Prepaid, such as Sprint Spark-enabled Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, 4G LTE-capable Samsung Galaxy S3, and the 3G Moto G.

The Sprint Prepaid also offers a lineup of services like Sprint Money Express, Sprint Prepaid Phone Insurance, directory assistance, and international calling and text messaging.

The Sprint Money Express allows Sprint smartphones running on Android to act as a cash-based vehicle to access cost-effective financial services. It allows users to send money, pay bills, and load checks.

The Sprint Prepaid Phone Insurance covers loss, theft, out-of-warranty mechanical and electrical disintegration, and accidental damages.

However, directory assistance and international calling and text messaging are only available to customers on the Nationwide Sprint Network and premium services which have reloaded an amount more than their monthly payment.
