'Man of Steel' actor Henry Cavill confirmed to Access Hollywood that he and real-life "Lois Lane" Natalie Viscuso are expecting their first child together.

The announcement was made at the premiere of Guy Ritchie's film The Ministry for Ungentlemanly Warfare on Monday, April 15. Cavill will star in the film.

"I'm very excited about it," he said. "Natalie and I are both very excited. I'm sure you'll see much more of that." He also denied that his co-star Henry Golding inspired him to become a father but rather cited his parents instead.

The former Superman in the DC superhero universe and the vice president of Vertigo Entertainment made their relationship public in 2021. Vertigo was the production company that was involved with projects like "It," "Five Nights at Freddy's," and "The LEGO Movie."

Entertainment Weekly reported that Cavill recently ended his role in the DC Extended Universe franchise, which is being rebooted under the direction of James Gunn with David Corenswet playing Clark Kent, and as Geralt in The Witcher, with Liam Hemsworth replacing Cavill in the forthcoming fourth season.

Cavill and Viscuso will, however, collaborate with Amazon to launch Warhammer 40,000 as a TV franchise.

Cavill and Ritchie would also work together for In the Grey.

The Ministry for Ungentlemanly Warfare also stars Eiza González, Henry Golding, Alan Ritchson, and Alex Pettyfer. It opens in theaters on April 19.
