Caitlyn Jenner had a two-word reaction to the death of O.J. Simpson, the former star NFL player who was acquitted of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson: "Good Riddance."

The former Olympic gold medalist served up the terse response on the social media platform X shortly after news of Simpson's death at the age of 76 was announced Thursday morning.

Jenner, 74, was married to Kris Jenner, the ex-wife of Robert Kardashian, who served as Simpson's defense lawyer during the sensational trial in 1995.

Jenner hasn't been shy about sharing her animosity toward the Heisman Trophy winner, whom she knew. Kris Jenner was also close friends with Brown Simpson.

"We have both come out of the same world of the male athlete with all its stereotypes and behavioral expectations, a type of identity that I come to call the male athlete gender. I struggled against it because of my issues and extreme discomfort in that world and its constant objectification of women, and the endless bragging about f---ing to the point where you had to wonder what these guys were really hiding," the Olympic decathlon star wrote in her 2017 autobiography, "The Secrets of My Life."

"OJ was at the completely opposite side of the spectrum as me - women as eye candy and sex toys, physically abusive when he did not get his way or felt he was being defied, the loud life of the party anywhere and anytime, like so many other athletes," Jenner said.

Jenner also pointed out during an episode of "Big Brother VIP" in 2021 that Simpson told his ex-wife that he planned to kill her.

"Obviously he did it, and he got away with it, and at one point he even told Nicole, 'I'll kill you and get away with it 'cause I'm O.J. Simpson,'" Jenner said, recalling how the trial was an "extraordinarily difficult time" because Kris Jenner and Brown Simpson were friends.
