Kevin Costner revealed that he would 'love' the opportunity to return to his role as John Dutton for the final season of 'Yellowstone.'

The well-known actor expressed his enthusiasm about potentially returning to the dramatic landscapes of the Dutton Ranch for the highly anticipated sixth season of the program, which is slated to premiere in November.

Costner revealed his early aspirations for a seven-season run in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying that he would like to be able to do it, but they have not been able to.

He is still optimistic as the story nears its fifth season, saying, "Maybe this will circle back to me."

Being a loving father of seven, the actor envisions the perfect ending to Dutton's tumultuous journey.

"He needs to be proactive in what happens, and I've kind of had my own fantasy of how it might be," he said. Costner has acknowledged that the final decision rests with Taylor Sheridan, the creative genius behind the series.

Costner's reunion with the team has been much anticipated amid rumors of his departure from the franchise last year.

According to Puck News, the two-time Oscar winner is open to making more than one cameo, potentially even more, to appease 'Yellowstone' fans waiting patiently for more of Dutton's compelling story.

Matthew Belloni of Puck News said that Costner has been telling people he plans to return. However, he noted that reconciling Costner's aspirations with Sheridan's vision for the series finale remains challenging.
