A paternity suit has been filed against the husband of Abby Hensel, a conjoined twin, by another woman after their marriage, according to sources.

On Monday, April 1, it was confirmed by Us Weekly that a paternity suit was filed by Annica Bowling, Josh's ex-wife, in October 2023. The suit raises questions about whether he is the biological father of their 8-year-old daughter, Isabella.

Abby, who is now 34 years old and hails from Minnesota, got married to Josh Bowling, a 33-year-old nurse and army veteran, in 2021, as per public records.

According to court records, Josh and Annica got married in 2010 but ended their marriage in 2019. They currently have joint custody of their 8-year-old daughter, Isabella.

The divorce of Josh and Annica was officially concluded on April 23, 2020. Then, Annica welcomed another child later that year, who is referred to as "Isabella's half-sister" in court documents.

The specific child paternity being tested for remains unclear, but a genetic test report was submitted to the court on March 7. Unfortunately, this report is not accessible to the public.

According to court records reviewed by Daily Mail, Annica has filed a lawsuit against Josh and another individual named Gavin Vatnsdal.

A heartwarming scene unfolded as Josh's daughter took part in his wedding to Abby. She looked absolutely adorable in a floral bridesmaid's dress, gracefully walking down the aisle. The sign she held added an extra touch of sweetness, reading: 'Daddy... Here Comes Your Bride.'

It appears that the father-of-one, who has a job working with hospice patients, and the twins reside together. Josh's Facebook page showcases the family, which includes his young daughter, engaging in activities such as hiking in nature, enjoying ice cream, and dressing up for Halloween.

Abby and her sister Brittany, a rare set of twins who have defied the odds, gained widespread recognition through their own TLC show. The series captured significant milestones in their lives, such as their graduation from high school and their search for employment.

A recent post on the TikTok account @abbyandbrittanyhensel showcased Abby's wedding day, while a Facebook account called Britt And Abby shared a photo of the joyful couple.

A video believed to have been recorded by a guest and shared on social media depicted the twins and the groom joyfully dancing during the wedding celebration.

Last week, the conjoined twins decided to share their story after it was revealed that one of them has recently gotten married.

"The internet is buzzing today," the twins, 34, said on their joint TikTok account on Thursday after the world learned that Abby had married Josh.

No images were shared online until last year. Abby and Brittany recently shared images of ancient sculptures that depict conjoined twins, suggesting that the concept of conjoined twins has a long history. Their message implies that the existence of conjoined twins is not a recent phenomenon.

Abby and Brittany have taken on the role of fifth grade math teachers at an elementary school in their hometown of New Brighton, Minnesota. They both have a single body, with all their organs, including the intestine, bladder, and reproductive organs, shared from the waist down.

During a documentary captured during their teenage years, their mother expressed their desire to have children in the future, noting that their reproductive organs functioned normally.

They have consistently avoided discussing their personal life, and ten years ago, they brushed off a rumor about Brittany's engagement as a mere joke. However, even during their teenage years, they expressed their desire to start a family.

The twins mentioned in the first episode of their eight-part series that people have been curious about them since they were born, for reasons that are quite clear. "But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do."

During a 2001 interview with Time, Mike, the twins' father, mentioned that his daughters had already expressed curiosity about finding life partners in the future.

He pondered the possibility of conjoined twins getting married, citing previous cases as evidence. "Why not? They're good-looking girls. They're witty. They've got everything going for them, except they're together."
