The Israeli military said on Sunday evening that it killed Ismail al-Zin, a Hezbollah commander in the anti-tank missile unit of Hezbollah's Radwan Forces, in an airstrike on a vehicle in Lebanon.

The Lebanese armed group confirmed the death of al-Zin in a statement released on Telegram.

IDF Says Lebanon Strike Killed al-Zin

According to the Israeli military, al-Zin is a "significant commander" in the anti-tank unit of Hezbollah's elite Radwan forces, which has launched attacks into northern Israel.

The military said in a post on Telegram that Al-Zin was a significant source of knowledge regarding anti-tank missiles and was responsible for dozens of anti-tank missile attacks against Israeli civilians, communities, and security forces.

Hezbollah has engaged in regular fire with Israeli forces since its ally, the Palestinian group Hamas, carried out an unprecedented attack on southern Israel on October 7, which prompted Israel to launch an assault on Gaza.

Israel has killed 270 Hezbollah members and around 25 members of the Radwan unit, including at least three commanders, such as Wissam Tawil, a senior Hezbollah leader who played a leading role in organizing its operations in southern Lebanon.

Furthermore, Israel's shelling has also killed about 50 civilians, including children, medical professionals, and journalists, which has also damaged the Lebanese army and United Nations soldiers.

Tens of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes due to the fighting in northern Israel and southern Lebanon, where the Israeli military reports that eight civilians and ten troops have died.

On Sunday, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for seven attacks on Israeli troops. It said one of its strikes targeted and damaged "newly developed spy equipment" at al-Jardah near the Lebanese border.

The group also released two videos of its attacks on Saturday, which were directed at an Israeli military base in Adamit, northern Israel, along with a building used by soldiers near the border.

Amid concerns about a wider conflict in the region, the US and other countries have worked to negotiate a diplomatic end to the gunfire between Israel and Hezbollah.

Hezbollah has repeatedly declared that it will not put out fire until a ceasefire is established in Gaza.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that the military would continue its operations against Hezbollah while on a tour of the army's northern command on Friday. He said that they will make them pay a price for every attack that comes out from Lebanon.

Hezbollah Attacks Israeli Outposts in Shebaa Farms

On Friday, Lebanon's Hezbollah group said it launched two attacks on an Israeli military outpost in the Shebaa Farms in "support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip."

Hezbollah confirmed on its Telegram account that its fighters targeted the Zebdine barracks with "direct" missile strikes. It also noted that Israeli strikes in South Lebanon had claimed the lives of three of its members.

Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported that nine members of Hezbollah and the Amal party were killed on Thursday in an Israeli airstrike in the southern towns of Naqoura and Tayr Harfa.

Furthermore, seven people were killed in an airstrike on the town of Al-Habbariyah in southern Lebanon early on Wednesday before Israel declared that 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon on the city of Kiryat Shmona in the north, resulting in one death.
