For the fourth time, a judge has recused themself from the case of a mother accused of stabbing her children - one of them, fatally.

Jenee Pedesclaux has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with the alleged August 2022 incident involving her children, 3-year-old daughter, Paris Ann, and 2-year-old son, Jay'Ceon Roberts, at their New Orleans home, according to authorities, NOLA.com reported.

After the alleged stabbings, Pedesclaux, turned the knife on herself in a suicide attempt.

She and Jay'Ceon survived their injuries, while Paris Ann died.

Pedesclaux pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, according to WDSU-TV and WVUE-TV.

On Thursday, Judge Darryl Derbigny recused himself from her case, WDSU reported, citing the defendant's family and attorney.

Derbigny's reason for recusal is unclear and he did not immediately respond to Headline and Global News' request for comment.

His withdrawal marks the fourth time a judge has removed themself from Pedesclaux's case in less than two years, according to the outlet.

In January, Chief Judge Tracey Flemings-Davillier removed herself from overseeing the suit.

"God is trying to tell (the judges) something," Pedesclaux's father, Gueren Pedesclaux, told NOLA.com, at the time, earlier this year. "He is the only real judge."

Following the alleged stabbings, Pedesclaux shared a bloodied video to social media, crying, "I'm done; my children is dead! I'm done, I'm done, and it's all Jermaine fault! It's always Jermaine fault! I'm done! I'm killing myself!" according to the outlet.

Jermaine Roberts is the father of their children with whom she was reportedly in the midst of a custody battle with.
