Prince William and Rose Hanbury were recently the focus of talk and rumors on The Late Show. Stephen Colbert spent nearly three minutes discussing speculation in his speech, indicating that Kate Middleton's absence could be linked to her husband, PrinceWilliam, potentially having an affair.

Rose Hanbury, a former model who is now 39 years old and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, is married to David Rocksavage, who is one of Prince William's closest friends.

Prince William Rumored to Have Affair to Lady Rose Hanbury

Colbert casually said the show's guest and then casually sipped tea, sparking a popular discussion on X (formerly Twitter) and causing many to ask further about Rose Hanbury and her ties to the royals. 

Rose Hanbury's grandmother, Lady Elizabeth Lambart, was a member of Queen Elizabeth II's bridal party when she married Phillip Mountbatten, the Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947.

Rose's son, Lord Oliver, had the honor of being one of the four Pages of Honour at King Charles's coronation ceremony, together with His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales, Master Nicholas Barclay, and Master Ralph Tollemache. William and Kate applied to live next to Rose and David.

During an interview with English Home in 2023, Rose Hanbury explained her Palladian house made in the 1720s for Britain's inaugural prime minister, Sir Robert Walpole, who sought top architects, decorators, and creators of that era. Rose Hanbury claimed she had to get used to the massive house when she first arrived in 2009.

Kate Middleton's lack of public appearances following her scheduled abdominal surgery in January 2024 has been a major topic of discussion online. Amid the absence of the Duchess of Cambridge, various speculative theories have emerged on social media about her location.

From donating a kidney to King Charles to separating from Prince William, the rumors are never-ending. One theory, gaining traction on social media, suggests that Hanbury is involved in a clandestine relationship with Prince William. In 2019, two writers alleged that Prince William had a romantic involvement with the British model, but no evidence was found to support this claim. Nevertheless, the rumor surrounding this affair has persisted and gained momentum following Kate's disappearance. The online world is abuzz with the sensational theory suggesting that Prince William might be the father of Hanbury's daughter.

Rose Hanbury Speculation Spurs Royal Inquiry

Eventually, the speculations about Prince William and Rose Hanbury resulted in inquiries into their bond and ties to the royal family. In April 2019, speculation about a romantic involvement between Prince William and Rose Hanbury began circulating after reports of an issue between Rose Hanbury and Kate Middleton.

The royals never explicitly denied the rumor, and author Omid Scobie briefly cited it in his book, 'Endgame: Inside the Royal Family' and the 'Monarchy's Fight for Survival.' In November, he said to ET that if a rumor continues to spread undetected, it can circulate globally before anyone considers how to deal with it.

Discussing the rumor quickly became a touchy topic for the royal professional, indicating the necessity for attention on the accusations against Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their split with Rose Hanbury. 

Rose Hanbury, Kate Middleton, and Prince William aren't talking about allegations of the affair in public. Prince William's legal representative refuted the allegation and said that it was "inaccurate and extremely harmful." In his latest book about the royals, Omid Scobie discussed the alleged scandal and stated his belief that nothing came up between the Prince of Wales and Hanbury.
