Star Wars actor Michael Culver has died at age 85. His agent confirmed his death on Wednesday.

"It's been an honor to have represented Michael for the last decade and to have taken him to some of the best 'Star Wars' events in the U.K. and Europe," the statement obtained by the NY Post.

His cause of death has not been released but he suffered from poor health for years.

Culver had numerous stage and film roles but he was best known in the United States for his role as Captain Needa in "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back."

After the Empire let Han Solo's Millenium Falcon escape he uttered the famous line, "They can't have disappeared. No ship that small has a cloaking device."

After he took responsibility for losing the ship a disappointed Darth Vader choked Needa to death.

After killing him, Darth Vader stepped around his body and said, "Apology accepted."

Born in London in 1938, Culver was the son of distinguished West End actor Ronald Culver and his wife, casting director Daphne Rye, his obituary noted.

Later in life he gave up acting and became an activist but still attended some Star Wars fan events.

He is survived by his second wife Amanda Ward, two sons from his first marriage, a daughter from an earlier relationship and four grandchildren.
