Vice President Kamala Harris said on Friday that she is ready to take on the role of the presidency if necessary, although Americans should not anticipate that happening

On NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Harris,59, stated, "As it relates to me, I'm ready, if necessary, but it's not going to be necessary." "Joe Biden and I are running together, with him as president and me as vice president." In 2020, an important number of people cast their votes for this particular ticket. I think they will do it again.

When asked by NBC News reporter Peter Alexander about concerns regarding President Joe Biden's age, Vice President Kamala Harris confidently said that any uncertainties about his capability to lead were put to rest by his dynamic State of the Union speech on Thursday night. She identified Biden's dedication and enthusiasm, pointing to his energetic speech as proof of his competence for the position.

During his address, Biden, 81, addressed his age with humor, stating, "I know I may not look like it, but I've been around a while."

He received widespread praise for delivering one of the most fiery and energetic speeches of his presidency, including firm warnings about the potential consequences of a Donald Trump victory in the upcoming election.

Harris replied that she had not addressed the prospect of a debate between Biden and Trump with the president, therefore she avoided revealing details when she was questioned about the possibility of said debate. It was said that the decision will be taken in the near future, and she pledged that further information would be supplied.

The State of the Union address saw Biden engaging with Republicans in the audience, particularly challenging them on their rejection of a bipartisan immigration and border security proposal.

Amidst interruptions, including one from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who mentioned a recent tragedy involving a Venezuelan migrant, Harris defended Biden's language and described the moment as chaotic. She highlighted Biden's expression of condolences to the victim's family and his willingness to collaborate on addressing immigration issues, according to Huffpost.

Republicans Shift Focus to Harris

Republicans are trying to present the election as not only about Biden but also about Harris's candidates for the president. This is because there are still issues over Biden's age and stamina.

She marked Biden's health for a second term and accentuated his passion and energy when she was questioned about concerns from voters who were sold on Biden but worried about Harris while she was responding to the question.

Harris condemned the strategies used by those he opposes, arguing that the utmost importance should be placed on finding solutions to issues rather than using them for political benefit.

In her final statements, Harris clarified her support for Biden, presenting his readiness for another term, and expressing her unwavering support. The ongoing discussion surrounding Biden's age and the possible participation of Vice President Harris shows the complex factors preceding the upcoming election, ABC News reported.
