OpenAI posted a letter on its blog late Tuesday saying, "We intend to move to dismiss all of Elon's claims."

Musk sued OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman claiming the company betrayed its founding aims of benefiting humanity rather than pursuing profits.

According to the Associated Press, he says that when he provided funding for OpenAI at the beginning, he secured an agreement that the research lab would remain a nonprofit.

Musk claims Altman and other officials breached OpenAI's founding charter by agreeing to a $13 billion partnership with Microsoft.

But OpenAI says Musk supported making OpenAI a for-profit company. It released explosive emails to and from the Tesla CEO to disprove his claims.

At one point, the emails show, Musk suggested OpenAI could be merged with Tesla to fund AI efforts.

It didn't happen, and Musk instead left to build his own artificial general intelligence startup but the company says Musk remained supportive of OpenAI's plans to raise billions of dollars.

Musk responded to the blog post on his X social media platform. He said, "Change your name to ClosedAI and I will drop the lawsuit."

Musk's lawsuit didn't include Microsoft among the defendants. However, his legal team still mentioned the software giant over 60 times in the complaint, HNGN previously reported.

Elon's lawsuit repeatedly mentioned Microsoft's influence over OpenAI and its economic position. Recently, the billionaire already warned Microsoft that he was planning to sue it.
