Former United States President Donald Trump emerged victorious in Republican caucuses in Idaho on Saturday, March 2, securing all 32 delegates belonging to the state, as per NBC News' projections.

Trump maintained his undefeated run in the Republican nomination contest for 2024 by beating former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley. Trump had also been forecast to win both the convention caucuses in Michigan and Missouri earlier on Saturday.

The wins have been announced just in time for the biggest delegate day, Super Tuesday, which takes place on March 5. Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia are the states that will be competing on Super Tuesday, according to USA Today.

Idaho Primary Elections

During the 2016 Idaho primary, Trump finished in a disappointing second place, behind only Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

After legislators in Idaho decided to cancel the presidential primary on March 12, a presidential caucus was conducted this year. Despite lawmakers' best efforts, they decided against shifting the presidential primary to May 21 in order to align it with the scheduled primaries for state and municipal elections.

On May 23, Idaho's Democratic Party will have its presidential caucuses.
