Yulia Navalnaya—Alexei Navalny's widow—was briefly suspended on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, after she used it to share a video of her vow to continue her husband's work opposing Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Monday, Feb. 19, she posted a video promising to fight for a "free Russia" days after Navalny's death in a Russian prison was confirmed.

Navalnaya's account has since been restored but did not provide any reason why, the BBC reported.

According to X's guidelines, accounts can be suspended for posting spam or abuse or if the security of an account is at risk.

Navalnaya kept a low profile during her husband's campaigning and only created an X account on Monday.

In a video message posted the same day, she accused Russian authorities of waiting for traces of the deadly nerve agent Novichok to disappear from her husband's body before releasing it to his family. The Kremlin said the accusation was unfounded and an investigation into his death was ongoing.

Neither X nor owner Elon Musk has responded to reporters' requests for comment.
