Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, has recently used social media to spread an unfounded conspiracy theory.

According to Ramaswamy, there is an alleged connection between pop star Taylor Swift, Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce, and a supposedly rigged Super Bowl that was apparently meant to impact President Joe Biden's re-election prospects.

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - JANUARY 28: Travis Kelce #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs (L) celebrates with Taylor Swift after defeating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game at M&T Bank Stadium on January 28, 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland.

On Monday morning, Ramaswamy, who recently concluded an unsuccessful bid for the presidency, posted a tweet raising suspicions about the upcoming Super Bowl. The tweet hinted at a convoluted strategy to sway public opinion in favor of President Biden under the guise of a rigged football game.

The conspiracy theory takes root in Ramaswamy's insinuation that Taylor Swift's presence at Chiefs games, where she has been supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce, is part of an 'artificially culturally propped-up' relationship manufactured by the media. He goes on to theorize that this alleged faux romance is intended to lead to the couple endorsing President Biden for re-election.

"I wonder who's going to win the Super Bowl next month. And I wonder if there's a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall. Just some wild speculation over here, let's see how it ages over the next 8 months," tweeted Ramaswamy.

This unfounded claim emerged in response to a tweet by right-wing figure Jack Posobiec, who mentioned Taylor Swift's past criticisms of the Soros family. Posobiec insinuated a connection between Swift's political stance and her previous disputes with the Soros family over music rights. However, there is no evidence to suggest such a correlation, according to The Independent.

Taylor Swift's Support For Democrats

Contrary to claims made by Posobiec, Swift's public support for Democrats predates her conflicts with the Soros family. In 2018, she endorsed Democratic candidates in Tennessee. While mostly staying away from political discussions, Swift endorsed Biden for president in 2020, mobilizing over 35,000 people to register to vote through an Instagram post on National Voter Registration Day.

Ramaswamy, who recently abandoned his presidential campaign, formally endorsed Donald Trump for president. Despite this, his latest conspiracy theory has been met with skepticism from various quarters.

Fox News columnist David Marcus dismissed the notion that the Chiefs would need to rig the Super Bowl, highlighting the team's recent success with three out of the last four championships. Podcaster Noam Blum mocked Ramaswamy's theory, sarcastically stating, "Taylor Swift endorsed Biden in 2020 but this time it's definitely a psy op. Amazing that people buy this grift horseshit and ask for seconds."

As Ramaswamy's theory gains attention on social media, it is crucial that people recognize the absence of reliable evidence backing these unfounded claims. This indicates the need for critical thinking and fact-checking in today's age of widespread misinformation, Daily Caller reported.
