An alleged stalker of Taylor Swift was released from custody under supervision at Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday but was arrested again for the third time when he went back to the pop star's Tribeca townhouse.

According to the authorities, David Crowe of Seattle was first arrested on Saturday, followed by a Monday evening bust.

Crowe Arrested for the Third Time

The police reported that Crowe returned to the luxury pad of Swift just a few minutes walk from the court and behaved strangely after his arraignment on Wednesday.

Crowe can be seen in footage on Wednesday at 2:00 pm smoking a cigarette outside a McDonald's located within two blocks from her townhouse in New York City. Witnesses said he eventually returned to Swift's home, and a neighbor reported him to 911 after setting off the alarm.

Police arrived and charged Crowe with criminal contempt. On Wednesday morning, he was charged with two charges of harassment and two counts of stalking for which an order of protection had recently been granted.

According to law enforcement sources, during today's arrest, Crowe told police that he was from Seattle, which is accurate, and that he was about to take a trip home. However, the police found no evidence of that travel.

The fact that Swift is back in NYC was more alarming as she was in town on Tuesday night with Brittany Mahomes and Cara Delevingne. It was unclear if Swift was home when Crowe was arrested today, but she had been out of town during the previous arrests.

A law enforcement source claimed that Crowe was aware of what he was doing, and he was articulate. The source added that he was fixated on her and could not keep away from where she lived, so they are doing all they can to protect her.

His next court date is on March 12. His attorney with the New York County Defenders did not immediately answer a request for comment.

Stalkers' Obsession With Swift

Swift's Manhattan townhouse has been the scene of multiple break-ins when she was not home, some of which were committed by people that the police had identified as stalkers.

A man was accused of entering two Tribeca homes linked to Swift in 2022 and was charged with trespassing and stalking. A man was also arrested that same year for smashing his car into the townhouse and allegedly threatening police that he would not leave until he met with Swift.

In 2018, another man broke into her townhouse and took a nap. After serving his jail term, the same man was accused of breaking into the building again a year later.

The police claimed that alleged stalkers have also been arrested at some of her other residences, which include houses in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and Beverly Hills, California.
