Several people have been killed and dozens injured after a shooting incident at a university in the Czech Republic on Thursday, December 21.
According to local police, residents of the Czech capital were urged to shelter inside to avoid the area due to the shooting, including Charles University in Prague.
"Based on initial information we can confirm there are dead and injured people at the site," police said on X, the social media.

Running for their Lives
In a separate footage obtained by the Daily Mail, people were seen running with their hands raised in the air as armed officers stood by.
Images circulating Czech media purportedly show the gunman standing on top of the university building before he was killed by police at the scene.
Czech authorities are yet to know the extent of the casualties as investigations are underway.
