Marvel Studios and the Walt Disney Co. replaced Jonathan Majors, ending his journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his guilty misdemeanor assault and harassment verdict on December 18.

Majors played the supervillain in 2023's 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' and appeared in seasons one and two of 'Loki.' He was expected to return in 2026's 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars.'

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 12: Jonathan Majors attends the 95th Annual Academy Awards on March 12, 2023 in Hollywood, California.

On December 18, a jury found Majors guilty on two counts in his domestic violence case. He was found not guilty on one count of assault in the third degree and one count of aggravated harassment.

Marvel still has not shared who may replace the role of Majors.

Majors' charges were related to an alleged incident with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in March 2023. According to NBC News, the couple was riding in a town car in New York when Jabbari said Majors received a message from another woman, saying, "Wish I was kissing you right now."

Jabbari shared she tried to grab his phone, but Majors allegedly pulled her finger, twisted her arm, and hit her face. The couple stopped the car and got out, but Majors allegedly threw her back inside the vehicle.

NYPD spokesperson reported receiving a 9-1-1 call from a New York City apartment. He added that Jabbari informed the police she was assaulted, and the officers placed Majors into custody without incident as the victim had minor injuries to her head and neck.

Major's lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, maintained his innocence despite the guilty verdict. Chaudhry said Majors was grateful to God, his family, his friends, and his fans for their love and support during the harrowing eight months.

She added that Majors still believes in the process and looks forward to thoroughly clearing his name.
