Microsoft is releasing a series of upgrades to its Copilot AI assistant for Windows 11, including the addition of GPT-4 Turbo and Dall-E 3.

The announcement of the new features was made on Tuesday during a press release as the tech giant is working to enhance the AI assistant for more robust text and image generation. One of the new features, GPT-4 Turbo, is the latest AI model made by OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT.

Microsoft is set to release a host of new features and upgrades for its Copilot AI assistant for Windows 11 amid its continued efforts in the artificial intelligence race.

It will be coming to Windows 11 in the following weeks alongside Dall-E 3, which is a text-to-image generator that was made by the same company. The two new models will allow for smarter and more robust text and image generations with much fewer errors.

Microsoft's efforts in the artificial intelligence movement come after it raised its investment into OpenAI earlier this year. The latter made headlines last year with the release of its ChatGPT AI chatbot. It could seemingly answer any question with a novel answer using data from all corners of the internet, as per CNET.

With the tech giant's investment into OpenAI, ChatGPT eventually made its way to Bing, which gave some heated competition to Google. The latter was also quick to release its own AI chatbot, known as Bard AI. It is currently experimenting with AI-generated answers in Google Search.

Even with these developments, Microsoft was not satisfied and decided to integrate generative tech into Windows 11 via its Copilot AI assistant. It can help users summarize documents or write emails among other features.

Due to how fast artificial intelligence is permeating tech, tech companies are firmly planting their flags early as generative AI is estimated to be worth roughly $4.4 trillion per year. Microsoft's other new feature, Dall-E 3, generates higher-quality images than ever before.

More importantly, it also generates these images with a greater regard for accuracy compared to older models. This means that the image should match the text prompt much more than it previously did, according to Engadget.

A Variety of New Features

Copilot also has many other tools that would be available to users, including the Inline Compose tool. This would allow users to rewrite a menu that lets them select a block of text that the bot would rewrite for them.

Coders would also be receiving some useful additions with a new feature that is called Code Interpreter. While Microsoft is keeping relatively quiet with this particular feature, it is said to enable users to perform complex tasks such as "data analysis, visualization, math," and garden variety coding.

Furthermore, with GPT-4 Bing search will get a much-needed upgrade that would allow for expanded search queries for complex topics with optimized results. In a blog post, Microsoft detailed how the upgrade works. It searches for multiple variations of the query at once and automatically files away useless information.

In its blog post, the tech giant also created a list of some favorite use cases for users to try right now that were tested by community fans and preview testers, said Microsoft.
