The popular Filipino couple Kathniel's breakup shocked many Filipinos as both of them announced the end of their relationship on Thursday, Nov. 30.

The Strait Times reported that DJ and Kath ended their 11-year relationship via their official Instagram accounts. The 27-year-old Filipino actress posted a photo of her and the 28-year-old actor.
She included her long messages confirming their breakup and saying that what they had was genuine love.
"I want you to hear it straight from me: It's true that Deej and I have decided to part ways," said Kathryn via her official IG announcement.
"Like any other relationship, we tried our best to make it work," she added.
However, Kath said that they've been drifting apart for a while and decided to accept that their relationship is beyond salvation. The actress explained that she is confirming their breakup since it would be unfair to pretend and show their fans that they are still together.
She ended her message by saying that their relationship began with respect and ended with respect. The former lovers' decision to part ways drove many Filipinos to tears since they saw Kath and DJ as the perfect couple who should have lasted a lifetime.
Kathniel's Breakup Could Affect Philippines' Showbiz
