A SWAT team of the Buffalo Police Department and other emergency crews were called to respond to an alleged mass shooting at the Hyatt Regency hotel on Thanksgiving Day morning (November 2023), which turned out to be a false alarm.

However, hotel staff told the Daily Mail and the Daily Star that the report was "erroneous" and that no one was hurt.

Emergency services in Buffalo, New York responding to a mass shooting call at the Hyatt Regency hotel in the area found out that it was a false alarm.

Police are still investigating how the false alarm originated or whether they would intend to investigate the caller.

The Buffalo Police Department is yet to issue a statement.
