Teyana Taylor accused Former NBA Iman Shumpert of being a jealous narcissist and secretly filed for divorce in January.
After eight months of secretly filing a divorce, they announced their separation in an Instagram post on Sunday.
Taylor Files to Divorce Shumpert

Taylor claimed that Shumpert had been a jealous narcissist during their seven years of marriage. She said that Shumpert had been jealous of her fame and insecure about being good enough for her, even though he was making way more money playing basketball.
She said that Shumpert would be annoyed when they attend public events together, and photographers would ask him to step out of frame.
Shumpert remained infuriated by her wife's reputation and jealous of her acting career, even though he signed a $40 million contract with the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015 and was also paid $8 million by the New York Knicks in the same year.
She also claimed in the documents that Shumpert would send her negative text messages in an arrogant tone and manipulative language in response to her being in the spotlight.
Furthermore, she said he would always pick fights with her for no reason, even on her birthday, and manipulate her by apologizing afterward.
Taylor filed for divorce in Georgia, and now she felt that Shumpert was treating her cruelly even more and had been displaying extreme narcissistic behavior.
She admitted that she would sometimes dim her light for her husband so that they could have a peaceful marriage, wherein she turned down recording opportunities and acting gigs as Shumpert disapproved of her working.
She said she did her best to keep their family together and used her connections to acquire gigs for Shumpert as his NBA career was on the brink. Taylor said that he was also involved in multiple cheating scandals during their marriage and was arrested for weed possession in an airport.
After the filing for divorce, Shumpert insisted on going back together. However, when they got back together, he was involved in a cheating scandal and manipulated her again.
Taylor Announces Separation
Taylor wrote on her Instagram, "Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while. To be 1000% clear, 'infidelity' ain't one of the reasons for our departure."
She said they were still the best of friends, great business partners, and a team when co-parenting their two beautiful children. They are still family who have been beside each other for ten years and seven years married and said that they took their relationship seriously.
She added that she had announced their separation as the narratives were getting a little out of hand, which has been unfair to both parties.
