Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks during Russian-Kazakh meeting at the Ak Orda Presidential Palace, November 9, 2023 in Astana, Kazakhstan. Russia's President Putin is having a one-day visit to Kazakhstan to take part in the annual Russian-Kazakh regional forum.

On Thursday, Nov. 9, Gerashchenko posted a video of Vladimir Putin on X (formerly called Twitter). His X post quickly went viral, generating over 2 million views just a day after it was published.

"What's up with Putin's cheeks? (This is a recent video)," said the Ukrainian official via his official X post.

Gerashchenko didn't clarify where the trending footage of the Russian president was taken. Instead of fact-checking if the video was real or if it was really newly captured, many people decided to share their opinions regarding the visage of Putin.

Newsweek reported that many netizens also noticed the unnatural face of Putin in the video. Some of them even claimed that the Russian president could already be using face fillers, making his cheeks look peculiar.

"By the look of the small bruise above the cheek, this is fresh filler. I wonder what he really looks like without all the cosmetic enhancements?" said an X user in the comment section.

Meanwhile, others claimed that the man that can be seen in the video is not the real Vladimir Putin. Instead, they believe it is the rumored body double of the Russian president.

While others are making speculations, some X users decided to research what's causing Putin's face to look like that. One of them said that it is a condition called "moon face," which is caused by long-term use of non-anabolic steroids.

The viral video that Gerashchenko posted could further lead to more speculations claiming that Vladimir Putin has a body double.

In fact, new rumors claim that the Russian ruler has more than one body double (three to be exact).

This is also what Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR) Andriy Yusov believes. During his national television speech on Nov. 9, the Ukrainian official announced that Putin could have three body doubles.

"As for the doubles, indeed, the Kremlin uses this technology," said Yusov.

"We understand that there may be deviations, but we can (confirm there are) three (doubles)," claimed the Ukrainian intelligence official.
