Posters of children who lost their lives in the Palestine-Israel conflict are seen as people gather outside the White House during the "National March on Washington: Free Palestine" while calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas on November 4, 2023 in Washington, DC.

The incident happened on Saturday, Nov. 4, when tens of thousands of Palestinian supporters rallied in Washington, D.C.

Many of these protesters were accusing Joe Biden of genocide. Meanwhile, others just wanted the United States and Israel to have a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

White House Vandalized by Pro-Palestine Protesters

According to The Western Journal, pro-Palestine protesters vandalized the White House's fence by dousing red paint on it. Meanwhile, other demonstrators rattled one of the gates.

One of them even climbed the black gate to wave a Palestinian flag. Aside from this, General Marquis de Lafayette in Lafayette Park was also vandalized with graffiti and more Palestinian flags.

Despite the incident, the U.S. Secret Service's involvement wasn't needed, as confirmed by the federal law enforcement agency's chief of communications, Anthony Guglielmi.

"Demonstrators are beginning to disperse from the area and the attempted gate trespass from earlier was handled without incident by Secret Service Uniformed Division officers and support teams," he explained.

Guglielmi claimed that no arrests were made as of writing. However, the Metropolitan Police Department said that one of the protesters was arrested. However, MPD officials didn't provide additional details regarding the arrest.

During the incident, U.S. President Joe Biden wasn't around because he was at his Delaware beach house. He and his wife, Jill Biden, went to their home in Rehoboth Beach after visiting residents in Lewiston, Maine.

Demonstrators stage a sit in on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House during a rally in support of Palestinians in Washington, DC, on November 4, 2023. Thousands of people, both Israeli and Palestinians, have died since October 7, 2023, after Palestinian Hamas militants based in the Gaza Strip, entered southern Israel.

Iman Abid-Thompson, director of advocacy at the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, said that the latest incident in Washington shows that the support for Palestine is further growing."

"[It's] a testament of just how much more support has grown around the Palestinian solidarity movement and that people really want to see change come," said Abid-Thompson, who was also one of the pro-Palestinian protest organizers, via CNN.

She added that the Israel-Hamas war has now become a "choice of morality." Iman further stated Americans can support or speak up for Palestinians, or they could support a "genocide."
