Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) speaks to reporters following a closed-door lunch meeting with Senate Republicans at the U.S. Capitol October 17, 2023 in Washington, DC. McConnell spoke on a range of issues including the United States' support for Israel following the Hamas terrorist attacks.

When McConnell was asked during the "Face the Nation" interview, he claimed that he was fine and had completely recovered.

Margaret Brennan, the American journalist and current moderator of "Face the Nation," said that people are wondering about the official's health.

"How are you feeling, how are you doing," asked the host.

"I'm fine, I'm completely recovered and just fine," answered McConnel.

After that, Brenna decided to follow up on another question. She said that McConnell's office felt the need to share and disclose the health condition of the Senate minority leader due to the recent freezing episodes.

But, the doctor clarified that there's no evidence of a stroke, Parkinson's disease, or even seizure. Due to this confirmation, Brennan said that she wonders if McConnell has other things to share about his health to the public.

"I'm in good shape, completely recovered, and back on the job," simply answered the politician.

McConnell spoke on a range of issues including the United States' support for Israel following the Hamas terrorist attacks.

Mitch McConnell continued providing vague answers, forcing Brennan to ask more specific questions in order to get more detailed health answers from him.

Since McConnell claims that he is in good shape, Margaret asked him if his answers mean that Mitch can still serve (and if he wants to serve) at a time when he is experiencing "incredible dysfunction" in Washington.

But, Mitch said he thinks they should discuss other things instead of talking about his health condition. Because of this, Brennan went back to asking him more political questions, such as McConnell's disagreements with former U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the Independent UK's latest report, the Face the Nation interview with Mitch McConnell was conducted when he suddenly froze at a press conference in July, causing an alarm in the public.

Still, he declined to provide any explanation about his freezing episodes. In the Face the Nation's comment section, many Americans said that without full disclosure of his health condition, the politician is simply lying to America.

Others said that McConnell no longer needs to provide an explanation since it's clear that he is already too old. Meanwhile, some U.S. residents said that based on his appearance, Mitch McConnell is clearly sick and hasn't fully recovered yet.
