Rapper Kanye West recently revealed that he believes he has "signs of autism" as a result of a car accident he was involved in more than twenty years ago.

This revelation came to light through text messages exchanged between Kanye and billionaire Elon Musk, as per Mirror.

Recently, the rapper-turned-entrepreneur, who had a gig in Italy canceled due to protests from war veterans, shared personal text messages with his confidant Ian Connor, in which he communicates with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Kanye, banned from Elon's social media platform in December 2022, appears to be pleading for another chance and sharing his thoughts in a lengthy and heartfelt message. The text exchange provides a glimpse into the artist's emotional struggles, complex relationship with Elon, and personal life.

West appears to be referencing a traumatic incident from his past, a car accident that occurred on October 23, 2002. At that time, Kanye West, still an up-and-coming rapper, fell asleep at the wheel of his rented Lexus, resulting in a collision with an oncoming car.

The accident left Kanye West with his jaw shattered in three places, a life-changing experience he referenced in numerous songs. Reality star Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from the musician in February 2021, and the divorce was finalized the following year.

The couple shares four children: North (10), Saint (7), Chicago (5), and Psalm (4).
