Sun Baby's Own Sun Baby

Ever since her post, Smith was inundated with congratulatory messages in the comment section from friends and social media followers, some of whom might have remembered her through Teletubbies, the Evening Standard reported.

Most of the comments indicated their delight that the Sun Baby was having her own "Sun Baby."

"Teletubbie baby. Congratulations!" a comment read. "Nursery theme idea (you are my sunshine)."

"Congrats for you guys," wrote a Dutch Instagram user. "[E]njoy the experience together."

"Wow I am this old," said another commenter.

About Teletubbies

Teletubbies became a pop culture phenomenon when the show premiered on the BBC in 1997, gaining commercial success and multiple BAFTA awards during its original run.

Smith previously told reporters that she was discovered by the show's producers when her mother brought her to hospital.

"My mum took me and it just happened to be the same time that the producer of the old series had come in and wanted the hospital to get in contact with them if they'd seen any smiley babies," she said.

She further explained that her signature giggle was possible because of her father sitting behind the cameras while playing with toys and cars.
