Usher just revealed that he will perform at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in Las Vegas next year! The eight-time Grammy winner expressed excitement about singing on the NFL's stage.

Usher will headline the halftime show at the NFL game on February 11, 2023, at Allegiant Stadium. The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation announced it.

He said in a statement, "It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before," as AP News reported.

'Ultimate Artist and Showman'

Usher, who released his first self-titled album in 1994 at the age of 15, was praised for "charting his own unique course" and the "ultimate artist and showman" by Jay-Z, who started the label Roc Nation.

Eight studio albums have been published by Usher, and they are all jam-packed with singles, including U Got It Bad, U Remind Me, You Make Me Wanna, Nice & Slow, and Love In This Club (a collaboration with Jeezy).

The halftime performance will be executive produced by Roc Nation and Jesse Collins, who has won an Emmy for his production work. Hamish Hamilton is back in the director's chair. The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation are working together for the second time.

Apple is excited about what Oliver Schusser, VP of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports, and Beats, calls "another incredible Halftime Show" from one of the world's all-time best performers.

Usher, at 44 years old, is headlining his "Usher: My Way" residency in Las Vegas, which has received sold-out crowds and high praise. On Sunday, September 24, he will also kick off a run of eight shows in Paris.

Usher is expected to finish his Las Vegas residency in early December, and then a few months later, he will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.

Rihanna, Beyoncé, Madonna, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, U2, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, and Katy Perry are just a few of the famous artists that have performed at Super Bowl halftime concerts before Usher.

A Turning Point to Fame

Usher's breakthrough to superstardom began with the release of Confessions. It went on to sell over 10 million copies in the United States, give him eight Grammy Award nominations, and ultimately win him three.

One of the most successful albums of all time, Confessions spawned the number one singles Yeah! by Ludacris and Lil Jon, Burn, and Confessions Part II. Alicia Keys joined him for a duet on his mellow song My Boo, which was featured in the deluxe edition. The landmark record will have turned 20 next year.

The singer has starred on NBC's The Voice as a coach and in various films, such as Hustlers and Light It Up.
