'Another World' Star Nancy Frangione Dead at 70

There were multiple reports announcing the death of soap opera actress Nancy Frangione at the age of 70.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress, known for her role in the soap operas "Another World" and "All My Children," died in her native Massachusetts on August 18.

No cause of death was revealed as of this report.

She is survived by her daughter, Mariel, whom she shared with her ex-husband and "Another World" co-star Christopher Rich.

80s Soap Opera Star

Frangione started her career playing the role of Tara on "All My Children" in 1977 before landing her most notable villain role as Cecile DePoulignac in "Another World" in 1980, which earned her a Soap Opera Digest Outstanding Villainess award.

Other television series roles she was involved in include "One Life to Live," "The Nanny," "Matlock," "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century," and "Highway to Heaven."

"Another World," which ended in 1995, seemed to be her final credited acting role in IMDb.
