In a tech-savvy nation like India, smartphone screens are essentially the windows to our digital worlds. Recognizing this, OnePlus has taken a remarkable stride to ensure customer satisfaction by launching a Lifetime Screen Warranty. This game-changing initiative comes hot on the heels of a pesky display concern - the notorious "green line" issue that has been the source of annoyance for many OnePlus users.

As per 9to5 Google, the Chinese phone maker OnePlus, which is widely popular in India and the US, has introduced a Lifetime Screen Warranty for its devices in India. The new warranty policy seeks to end "green line" screen issue woes, elevating user experience to a whole new level.

A OnePlus spokesperson disclosed that they realized that the "green line" screen issue " has caused a great deal of inconvenience to the affected users." And as such, the giant phone maker is now offering a free screen replacement for all affected devices.

And on top of the free screen replacement, OnePlus also gives users a lifetime screen warranty for all affected devices.

According to Android Authority, the lifetime warranty policy exclusively caters to users based in India. The tech news outlet reached out to OnePlus US and OnePlus United Kingdom (UK) regarding any plans to deliver the same game-changing initiative. However, they have yet to respond.

Besides the free screen replacement, the tech firm lets users upgrade their affected OnePlus phone to a new device. But this policy only applies to online purchased devices.

BERLIN, GERMANY - JUNE 21: Shoppers buy the new OnePlus 5 smartphone at a OnePlus pop-up store at the Bikini Berlin shopping mall on June 21, 2017 in Berlin, Germany. Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is launching the OnePlus 5 today in Europe at pop-up stores in Berlin, Amsterdam and London.

As Phone Arena reports, the lifetime screen warranty only applies to OnePlus phones, which carry the notorious "green line" screen issue.

The green line issue is a hardware defect that causes a vertical green line to appear on the screen of some OnePlus devices. The issue is affecting a variety of OnePlus phones, including the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 9. The OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro, and the OnePlus 9R are also grappling with the pesky defect.

Phone Arena notes that other phone makers, such as Google, Apple, and Samsung, are also grappling with the same screen defect, wherein annoying "green lines" suddenly appear. Yet, these tech giants have to provide a similar policy.
