The family of teenage rapper and wealth flexer Claire Hope announced her death at the young age of 14 on Instagram. They also revealed her older brother, Jason Tian, also died.

The siblings' cause of death has not been publicly revealed at this time, the New York Post reported.

Hope, a Canadian who relocated to Los Angeles, rose to stardom after she was featured in her videos flexing her wealth, such as holding what appeared to be a handful of cash, as well as showing off what appeared to be high-end cars.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire's sudden and tragic passing," the statement said. "We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock."

Hope's family asked the public to respect their privacy as they grieve the early loss of two of their children, as well as "the circumstances surrounding Claire and her brother's passing are still under investigation."

Fame and Notoriety at a Young Age

Declaring herself the "youngest flexer of the century," Hope has been a controversial child figure due to her alleged use of the N-word slur, which she issued a public apology about in 2018.

In 2021, a GoFundMe page seeking $19,000 was reportedly organized by Tian, who claimed she needed financial support to combat her "abusive" and "absentee" father, Chris Hope, in court.

Despite her personal struggles, Hope's fans made comments expressing their shock, disbelief, and sorrow for the early demise of the teenage star.

Lil Tay's death closely followed the death of 22-year-old lifestyle YouTuber Annabelle Ham and 18-year-old TikTok star Harrison Gilks.

Social media users have since speculated on the cause of the siblings' death.
