iPhone fans might have to pay more to get their hands on long-awaited upgrades, such as a USB-C port.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 24: People shop at the Fifth Avenue Apple Store during the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini on September 24, 2021 in New York City. The new phones come equipped with a A15 Bionic chip, improved dual-camera system and longer battery life than the iPhone 12. The iPhone 13 Mini starts at $729, and the iPhone 13 starts at $829.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman sheds light on what Apple fans could expect from the next-generation iPhone once it debuts in the next few weeks. Believe it or not, September is just right around the corner.

Gurman suggested that the iPhone 15 is set to push the boundaries of innovation as it likely introduces a titanium frame for its flagship phone. This durable material offers a lightweight and robust build, ensuring your precious iPhone can withstand the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Say goodbye to those dreaded accidental drops, as the titanium frame is expected to provide increased resistance to shocks and impacts.

Notably, XDA Developers note that the previous iPhone features cheaper stainless steel. While Titanium is a more expensive material, it is lighter and somewhat more durable.

Besides the durable material, Gurman says that the standard iPhone 15 models are ditching the notch in favor of Dynamic Island. In other words, all models are finally rocking the Dynamic Island gimmick.

Meanwhile, the top-notch Pro offerings reportedly sport remarkably thinner bezels, giving it a seamless overall design. Above these upgrades, the Bloomberg journalist also hinted at possible camera improvements for the upcoming Apple mobile phones.

One of the most notable changes for the iPhone 15 lineup includes the USB-C port adoption, which finally replaces Apple's propriety lightning port. An EU regulation compelled the Cupertino-based tech giant to go with a more universal charging port for its new iPhones.

With all of these upgrades in mind, Gurman predicts that the iPhone 15 series is seeing a price hike once it debuts in September. As per a report by The Verge, Gurman expects a price increase for various markets outside the United States (US). But despite that, he would not "rule out a price increase in the US." The news outlet notes that recent rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is likely to get a whopping $200 price hike.

According to Mashable, the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1,099. With a looming price increase, the iPhone 15 could go as high as $1,299. The more expensive pricing potentially offers customers a more premium material, sleeker design, and, finally, USB-C support.

However, it is worth pointing out that Apple has yet to confirm the pricing of its upcoming iPhone 15 series. So do take this with a grain of salt.
