According to Michigan Live, the Sturgeon Moon will appear on Tuesday, Aug. 1. It will reach its peak illumination at exactly 2:32 p.m. ET. 

Experts said the best time to watch this supermoon is later that evening. This is because it will rise in the southeastern skies after sunset. 

If you want to get the best out of your moon-watching experience, the best thing you can do is to go to a location with less light pollution (away from the city). 

You can take photos of the Sturgeon Moon using your smartphone and tripod. It would be best if your device has an expert mode so you can adjust the ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. 

In case you miss the Sturgeon Moon, you can wait for the second supermoon, which will occur on Aug. 30.
