According to Forbes, the new TikTok Text Post feature is a clear sign that the social media giant is challenging Twitter.
It is the latest platform to take on Twitter since Instagram already launched its text-only app called "Threads" recently.
Via its official Newsroom blog post, TikTok said that they are always looking for new ways to empower their creators and community.
The social media giant believes that it can do just that by providing more innovative tools that inspire self-expression.
"Today we're thrilled to announce the expansion of text posts on TikTok, a new format for creating text-based content that broadens options for creators to share their ideas and express their creativity," said TikTok.
The company added that the new Text Post feature can give the spotlight to the written creativity it saw in comments, captions, and videos.

How to Use TikTok Text Post Feature
