Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has left the United States following her fallout with Bud Light because of their controversial partnership last April.

In a recent TikTok video Wednesday (July 12), she explained her relocation to the Latin American country, featuring the country's historic Machu Picchu sanctuary, as well as other Peruvian cultural references like llamas. "I came here to feel something, you know what I mean? And I definitely have," she added. "I've done shaman ceremonies that were 10 years worth of therapy. It was wild."

Unlike the US, Mulvaney said Peruvians our time and she felt "very safe" in that country, something she had to leave the US behind for.

"It's a little sad that I had to leave my country to feel safe, but that will get better eventually," she said.

Mulvaney's reason for relocating to Peru remains unknown. The country does not recognize same-sex partnerships as marriage but it allows people to change genders without surgery.

News of Mulvaney's arrival in Peru was received by some Peruvians positively. "I am so happy that you [came] to my country and like it. [A]nd don't worry, people are really nice and the food is delicious," wrote one comment.

Mulvaney's Disappointment with Bud Light

The 26-year-old's trip came after she slammed Bud Light for not defending her when she received backlash and the Anheuser-Busch brand was boycotted for their controversial paid partnership.

She explained she was "waiting for [Bud Light] to reach out to [her]" but never did.

"I've been scared to leave my house," she added. "For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly stand by them is worse than not hiring a trans person at all."

In response, a spokesperson for Anheuser-Busch responded to Mulvaney's remarks."...[W]e remain committed to the programs and partnerships we have forged over decades with organizations across a number of communities, including those in the LGBTQ+ community," the company said in a statement to The Messenger.

Anheuser-Busch added the privacy and safety of our employees and partners would always remain their top priority.

Bud Light has apparently moved forward with how they would promote their beer after releasing a new advertisement featuring NFL star Travis Kelce.
