The letter obtained by Rolling Stone says, "We hope you've heard the message from us: This is an unprecedented inflection point in our industry, and what might be considered a good deal in any other years is simply not enough."

They add, "We feel that our wages, our craft, our creative freedom, and the power of our union have all been undermined in the last decade."

And as such, the letter signed by hundreds of members, including Rami Malek and Neil Patrik Harris, stresses that "we need to reverse those trajectories."

High-profile actors like Quinta Brunson, Ben Stiller, Amy Schumer, Amy Poehler, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus have also signed the letter to SAG.

The letter revealed that the signatories are "prepared to strike if it comes to that" even if going that route "brings incredible hardships to so many, and no one wants it."

LOS ANGELES, CA - JANUARY 29: Actor Meryl Streep attends The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at The Shrine Auditorium on January 29, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

According to Variety, the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) president Fran Drescher and national executive director and chief negotiator Duncan Crabtee-Ireland recently told its hundreds of members that the negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers were "extremely productive." They are now racing to forge a deal since the June 30 deadline is fast approaching with a few days left.

It is worth mentioning that last month, SAG-AFTRA members voted to authorize a strike if the negotiations fail to reach an agreement on a new contract with Hollywood studios come June 30.

However, more than 300 actors have now responded to the recent message of the SAG president. They are urging the SAG leadership to ensure that the deal holistically represents their demands in the first place.

In their recent letter to the SAG leadership, they threatened to join the Writer's Guild of America (WGA) in their strike if the deal fails to represent their demands.

The Messenger reports that actors like Kevin Bacon, Alison Brie, and Dave Franco have signed the letter to SAG. Besides them, Liam Neeson, Elliot Page, Joey King, Brendan Fraser, Sara Bareilles, and so on also joined the joint message.
