Conor McGregor is seen on the court during a timeout in Game Four of the 2023 NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center on June 09, 2023 in Miami, Florida.

A lady claims that UFC fighter Conor McGregor sexually attacked her after Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami last Friday, June 9, based on the demand letters issued by her attorney. However, McGregor has refuted the claims made against him.

When asked by CNN about the charges, Miami police said they were looking into a complaint submitted on Sunday, June 11. The authorities did not give any other information.

McGregor Accused of Sexual Assault by Unknown Woman

McGregor's attorney received a letter from an unnamed lady who claims that McGregor sexually assaulted and battered her in a VIP men's bathroom at the Kaseya Center, where the NBA game took place. The letter also asserts that the woman was abducted by McGregor, who also allegedly caused her mental suffering.

"The allegations are false," McGregor's representatives said in a statement to CNN. "Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated."

Legal correspondence sent to the NBA, the Miami Heat, and the Kaseya Center indicates that all three parties were complicit in the alleged sexual assault and violence and the presumed abduction.

The letters request that McGregor, the Kaseya Center, the NBA, and the Miami Heat management save any video, pictures, and other possible evidence.

On Thursday, June 15, NBA spokesman Mike Bass sent a statement to the media saying the league is looking into the accusations and is in contact with the entire team to get further information.

Authorities have verified that an investigation is underway. But police spokesperson Michael Vega stated, "This is an open investigation so no additional information can be released at this time."

The Miami Heat have said they are aware of the claims but will have no further comment until the inquiry is complete.

After defeating the Heat in Game 4, the Denver Nuggets captured the NBA championship in Game 5 earlier this week in Denver.

Miami Heat Mascot Taken to the Hospital After Attack by McGregor

In a separate incident, it was reported earlier that McGregor punched the Miami Heat mascot Burnie twice during a halftime skit during the same game. This sent the person wearing the costume to the hospital, where he was given pain medicine before being released.

Neither a lawsuit nor an arrest has been made in relation to the matter.

UFC management explained in a statement, "The organization is aware of the recent allegations regarding Conor McGregor and will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements."

After McGregor broke his left leg during his match with Dustin Poirier in July 2021, he could not return to action in the UFC.
