Pop icon Celine Dion canceled her "Courage World Tour" schedule until 2024 due to her ongoing struggle with a rare neurological condition.

After making the tough decision, the 55-year-old singer apologized profusely to her fans for failing them again in a post on her social media, according to LAD Bible.

Although she highlighted her dedication to regaining her strength, she recognized the difficulties of traveling, even in the best conditions. Celine Dion concluded that it would be preferable to postpone performances until she was ready to return to the stage after realizing how unjust it was to keep doing so.

She reassured her admirers that she was still motivated and prepared to meet them again despite the pain brought on by her condition called Stiff-Person Syndrome, which causes muscular spasms by mainly affecting the brain and spinal cord, per CNN.

She thanked the supporters who bought tickets for the postponed tour and assured them they could get their money back.

No Known Treatment for Celine Dion's Disease

After disclosing her diagnosis of Stiff-Person Syndrome in December, which hinders her from performing in her typical manner, Celine Dion postponed several concerts, according to The Guardian. Celine Dion made the announcement of her disease after she concentrated on working on her newest film, Love Again.

The Canadian singer said that the spasms significantly impact her day-to-day activities and impede her mobility and voice.

Celine Dion, who popularized the 1997 hit "My Heart Will Go On," delayed the start of her Las Vegas residency in October 2021 because of severe and ongoing muscular spasms.

Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects one to two million individuals globally, produces muscular spasms and severe stiffness that develop with time. Currently, there is no known antidote for the disease. However, it may be regulated with medication and immunological therapy.
