Amazon founder and billionaire entrepreneur Jeff Bezos finally engaged with long-time partner journalist Lauren Sanchez four years after the couple went public with their relationship.

The couple went public with their relationship in 2019, the same year the Amazon founder separated from his ex-wife, then known as MacKenzie Bezos. Bezos, 59 years old, and Sanchez, 53, were photographed on May 21 while on vacation in the South of France.

In that particular photo, Sanchez is standing on Bezos' yacht and could be seen wearing a ring on her finger that signifies she is engaged with the Amazon founder. A few months before the confirmation, the journalist discussed creating a blended family as her partner already has three sons, and one adopted daughter with his ex-wife, as per E Online.

On the other hand, Sanchez has three kids with two former partners; 16-year-old son Evan and 15-year-old daughter Ella with Patrick Whitesell and 22-year-old son Nikko with Tony Gonzalez. During an interview on January 25, Sanchez said that she and Bezos would occasionally have dinner with their kids, which was always fun, she noted.

Also a former pilot, Lauren Sanchez attributed communication as a key factor in building a successful home life. She cited her time with Gonzalez and how they are still friends, and that she is also friends with her ex-husband's current wife.

Talking about her relationship with Jeff Bezos, the journalist said it had been her greatest experience so far. Sanchez said they would work together and help each other with personal things.

Partner of Four Years

Since stepping down as Amazon CEO in February 2021, Bezos refocused himself on conversation and his space exploration company, Blue Origin. According to People, Sanchez supported the billionaire entrepreneur throughout the process, and they have both dedicated their work to the Bezos Earth Fund.

During a joint interview in November last year, Bezos said that he plans to give away most of the $124 billion fortune he amassed throughout his lifetime. He said he would focus on fighting climate change and helping others who can help improve the deep gap caused by social and political issues.

On the other hand, Scott received $38 billion in a divorce settlement when she separated from the Amazon founder and pledged half the amount to charity. This made her the third-richest woman in the world. She also shares 25% of the joint stock in Amazon with Bezos.

The Amazon founder has continuously voted to try and have control over his ex-wife's nearly 20 million shares with his company, said Page Six.
