The NFL announced that a thrilling playoff wild card game would be exclusively aired on Peacock, a popular streaming service. The historic event marks the first time a playoff game in the league will be available solely via a streaming platform.

As per ESPN's news story, the NFL has partnered with Peacock to bring fans an unforgettable football experience amid the ever-evolving landscape of sports broadcasting. So this time, fans can enjoy every play and touchdown in the NFL straight from the convenience of their preferred devices, whether on their mobile devices, tablet, or TV.

The NBC Sports Chairman, Pete Bevacqua, says, "We are thrilled to partner with the NFL on this industry milestone, bringing to Peacock the first ever exclusively live-streamed NFL Playoff game."

Meanwhile, the NFL Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NLM Media, Hans Schroeder, expressed the same excitement over the new partnership. He notes that they prioritize maintaining a wide reach for the games. And as such, they are working to expand the digital distribution of their content. They are exclusively airing an NFL playoff game on Peacock as part of their strategy.

Although NFL and Peacock did not disclose the terms of the agreement, The Wall Street Journal estimated that the one-year partnership is worth to the tune of $110 million.
