NBA star player Ja Morant is again involved in another controversy as a result of a new Instagram Live video that went viral on Saturday.

For the second time in less than three months, a video of Ja Morant clutching what seems to be a gun in a vehicle has surfaced on Instagram, according to CBS Sports.

The Memphis Grizzlies have suspended Morant from all of their team activities as they look into the most recent incident. The identity of the gun he is carrying, the location at which the video was recorded, and the local firearms restrictions are all unknown as of the present reporting.

The NBA has released a statement saying, "We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information." It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold and what consequences it may have for the career of the Grizzlies guard.

Ja Morant's pal Davonte Pack's Instagram Live session on Saturday showed the All-Star flashing a firearm while performing a rap song in the passenger seat, according to ESPN. The video has been removed.

Ja Morant's Troubled NBA Season

The latest Ja Morant scandal adds to the NBA star's already contentious season, which also saw allegations that he threatened a mall security officer and engaged in legal disputes with a teenager over an alleged confrontation during a pickup game at Ja Morant's house.

Morant also missed nine games in March as a result of an eight-game NBA ban and a $669,000 pay cut caused by an earlier Instagram video that showed him carrying a gun at a bar in Colorado, as per a report from the NBA's website.

The 23-year-old athlete took a break to seek support but didn't say what kind of care he got. Later, it was revealed that he had therapy in Florida, which the team later acknowledged, but no other information was provided.

Ja Morant is also being sued by a high school recruit who claims that he and another person punched the teenager in the head following an altercation that broke out during a pickup game in Morant's backyard. The teenager said that Morant afterward went inside his home and came out with a gun.
