Robert De Niro, 79, Reveals Name, First Picture of Newborn Daughter

After recently announcing that he is now a father of seven, Robert De Niro shared the first photo of his newborn baby girl, Gia Virginia Chen De Niro, along with some details about her birth while on CBS Mornings.

Gia was born on April 6, weighing 8 pounds and 6 ounces. De Niro expressed his joy about the new addition to the family in a clip from the show, stating that she was a planned baby and that he and his girlfriend Tiffany Chen both wanted her, WION reported.

During the promotion of his upcoming comedy film "About My Father," Robert De Niro surprised the world when he revealed that he had welcomed his seventh child several months before his 80th birthday, per the Evening Standard.

Robert and Tiffany's Romance

Robert De Niro and Tiffany Chen have not made any public statements about their romance, but they have been seen together on several occasions, including vacationing in the south of France in 2021 when they were photographed holding hands and kissing. A source claims they are a Los Angeles couple who were photographed leaving a restaurant together in March 2023.

It is said that Robert and Tiffany's first encounter was in 2015 on the set of the movie The Intern (2015), in which Chen played the role of a taiji instructor who assisted De Niro's character, per The Straits Times.

Tiffany Chen, who is believed to be in her mid-40s, is the daughter of William C.C. Chen, a taiji practitioner originally from China but now residing in the US.

Her biography on her father's website, which has since been removed, revealed that she was named Competitor of the Year and inducted into Inside Kung-Fu magazine's Hall of Fame at the young age of 26. At the age of five, she started training in ballet, hula dance, swimming, and gymnastics, and at eight years old, she began figure skating.
