According to court documents released Tuesday, Tucker Carlson texted the message to a Fox News employee two days before the Jan. 6. Capitol Riot.

Fox News personality Tucker Carlson admitted to a colleague that he "passionately" despised Donald Trump, per a new text conversation revealed as part of Dominion Voting Systems' $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against the media company.

Tucker Carlson texted a Fox News staffer a message two days before the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot incident, according to Tuesday court documents.

In the text conversation, Carlson said he "can't wait" as "we are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights."

The Fox News host stated: "I hate him passionately, I blew up at Peter Navarro today in frustration. I actually like Peter. But I can't handle much more of this," per The Independent.

The messages were revealed the same day both Democratic and Republican politicians criticized Carlson for showing altered video of the Capitol attack on his program and erroneously reported when it showed a calm gathering organized by "sightseers."

Donald Trump Jr. said on Twitter that he is upset that Tucker Carlson's effort to rewrite the Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol isn't gaining any support on Fox News.

To support his claim that Carlson's piece is "being quietly buried" by Fox News, Trump Jr. cited a Mediaite report, per Yahoo! News.

Donald Trump Jr. Was Aware of the Jan. 6 Capitol Attack

Notwithstanding his involvement with Carlson's gaslighting effort, Donald Trump Jr. understood the gravity of the situation as it unfolded on January 6.

Trump Jr. told former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows that his father should condemn the riot "ASAP."

"The Capitol Police tweet is not enough," he said, as per the texts retrieved by the Jan. 6 House Committee.

Meadows said that he was pressing then-President Donald Trump to take action as the situation had completely gotten out of control.

In response to the Trump Jr. tweet, critics pointed out that Fox News has already been sued for $1.6 billion for previous misleading statements it made about the 2020 election and its aftermath.

Dominion asserts in its case that Fox News officials and several hosts knew Donald Trump and his supporters' elections conspiracy claims were bogus but decided to air them, BBC reported.

In previous documents, Fox News' billionaire owner Rupert Murdoch admitted that several of the network's stars promoted Donald Trump's bogus allegations that the 2020 election had been rigged.
