HTC is offering a onetime free replacement for cracked screens on HTC One, One Mini and One Max during the first 6 months of ownership.

HTC is trying to win customers by offering them after-sales service, which is an important area of focus for most manufacturers and can change the users' perspective. The Taiwanese smartphone maker announced "HTC Advantage," which offers its existing customers a generous service. One of the most highlighted features of the new scheme is a one-time replacement of cracked screen on HTC's current One series, at no charge.

The new offer from HTC comes with certain eligibility conditions. The damaged screen will be replaced only on select models, which includes the company's current "One" series- the HTC One, HTC One Mini and HTC One Max. The handsets eligible for a free screen replacement must be less than six months old and bought in the U.S. The special offer is also limited to original purchasers who got their handsets after February 18, 2014.

Besides this, HTC is also promising to push the latest Android updates to its devices. In a statement to CNET News, HTC touting its timely updates said that "HTC was the first in the United States and Canada, outside of Google-owned companies and Google Play editions of devices, to begin delivering KitKat to its customers. HTC not only strives to deliver faster updates, but to provide full transparency to consumers on the process and status of each device update."

Comparing it with Samsung's lineup, the company's current flagship Galaxy S4 is yet to receive Android 4.4 KitKat.

Finally, HTC is throwing in a 25GB to 50GB free additional storage on Google Drive. The offer is valid only till Jan. 1, 2016, after which the standard charges will apply. This particular offer will not be available for HTC One Developer Edition due to its unlocked bootloader, but HTC One Max and 2013 HTC models with HTC Sense 5+ will receive additional 50GB and 25GB for two years, respectively.
