Cody Longo Cause of Death: ‘ Day of Our Lives’ Actor Dies at 34

Cody Longo, known for his appearances in 'Hollywood Heights' and 'Days of Our Lives,' was discovered dead at his home in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, according to his representative Alex Gittelson.

On Wednesday, authorities reportedly discovered Cody Longo's body in bed at a house in Austin, Texas.

According to the investigation, Longo's wife, Stephanie, became concerned about his absences and requested a welfare check before his body was discovered.

Cody Longo Found Dead

In 2011, the actor temporarily portrayed Nicholas Alamain on the renowned soap opera. His wife, who works at a local dance school, got concerned when she could not reach her husband, who is reported to have struggled with alcoholism.

When Cody Longo did not answer the door when the authorities came, they kicked it in. They discovered him dead in his bedroom. A member of the actor's family told TMZ that he had fought alcoholism for many years and had recently entered treatment.

Unofficial information on the cause of death has not yet been disclosed. His wife allegedly stated on the website, "He was an amazing father and the best husband. Our whole world is shattered." The actor is survived by his wife, a seven-year-old daughter, a five-year-old son, and a one-year-old son, as per Daily Mail.

Who is Cody Longo?

Cody Longo, born on March 4, 1988, in Littleton, Colorado, began his career in the entertainment business by participating in various music videos before making his film debut in the 2008 film 'Ball Don't Lie.' The following year, on an episode of Medium, he made his debut appearance on television. The actor played minor roles in various films, including 'Fame and Bring It On: Fight to the Finish.'

The actor later portrayed Nicky Russo in many episodes of the teen drama series 'Make It Or Break It.' Eight episodes of' Days of our Lives' featuring Cody Longo as Nicholas Alamain aired in 2011.

Erik von Detten and Victor Webster were the previous actors to portray the role. In the same year, the performer also appeared in two episodes of CSI: New York. The deceased actor's longest-running role was on the 2012 premiere and finale of the family drama series Hollywood Heights.

Longo starred as Eddie Duran in the program opposite Brittany Underwood and Melissa Ordway, and he appeared in 78 out of 80 episodes. Following the completion of the miniseries, the actor starred in other small parts on television, including Nashville and Secrets and Lies.

After the program was canceled, he also appeared in several films, including 'Rich Boy, Rich Girl,' 'The Last Movie Star,' and 'Death House.' 'Starting Up Love,' released in 2019, was Longo's most recent film appearance.

In addition to lending his voice to the 2020 Apple Podcast series 'High School Crimes & Misdemeanors,' the actor also provided his voice. In the same year, though, he was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly fighting with his wife.

Cody Longo pleaded guilty to a minor assault charge in 2021 after being accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old child. Before his passing, the actor worked on the film David Moreton directed and titled 'Do You Want to Die in Indio?'

According to reports, Cody Longo and Stephanie Nicole Clark began dating in 2014 and married in 2015. Clark is a dancer and choreographer from Virginia Beach. In November 2020, a 'Days of Our Lives' star was reportedly arrested for domestic abuse. Cody Longo was arrested in Clarksville, Tennessee, on November 7, 2020, for reportedly fighting with his wife while intoxicated.

According to police records, Longo reportedly returned home while intoxicated and accused Clark of infidelity. Their argument escalated and turned violent. Longo reportedly pushed Clark's face with his arm; Clark's jaw and neck were painful, but no marks were visible.

The 32-year-old was placed in the Montgomery County Jail on November 7, 2020, and subsequently posted a $2,500 bail on November 10, 2020. Longo informed the authorities that her charges were false and rejected the allegations, stating that the subject was private, as per MEAWW.
