Stephen Curry, NBA Stars React To LeBron James’ Scoring Feat

LeBron James officially becomes the NBA's King of Scoring as he surpasses Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the league's all-time scorer in Tuesday night's game, where the Lakers lost to the Thunder.

It's official: King James is now the scoring king of the NBA by passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the league's all-time scorer.

The Los Angeles Lakers' great scored 38,388 points for his career against the Oklahoma City Thunder by sinking a fadeaway jumper with a few seconds remaining in the third quarter.

However, the Lakers were defeated by the Thunder, 130-133.

NBA history indicates that whenever LeBron James reaches a milestone, his team loses, per Silverscreen and Roll. The Lakers lost by 16 points to Denver Nuggets after LeBron James passed Michael Jordan in points. After passing Kobe, the Lakers dropped 17 against the Sixers. When he became the all-time top scorer (which include playoff points), the Lakers fell to the Golden State Warriors.

LeBron James achieved 10,000 points, assists, and rebounds in a 29-point loss against the Phoenix Suns. When LeBron James overtook Karl Malone in the second spot on the all-time scoring list, the Washington Wizards overcame a 16-point Lakers advantage.

NBA contemporaries, including Stephen Curry were quick to give LeBron James credit for the historic NBA Scoring performance.

Stephen Curry congratulated King James for surpassing the 38,388-point threshold and calling him a "legend" for doing so, per Clutch Points.

Curry tweeted: "Congrats @KingJames ...legendary stuff right there #38388"

LeBron also received praise from James Harden of the Sixers and his former Cleveland Cavs teammate Kevin Love on Twitter.

"One of One! Congrats bro @KingJames", superstar guard James Harden tweeted.

"True Greatness. Incredibly grateful to have witnessed and been a part of your journey. History made. 38,388" Kevin Love posted on Twitter.

As far as the numbers are concerned, LeBron James is unquestionably the best scorer in NBA history. In a 20-year career that included 10 visits to the NBA Finals, he scored at a pace and efficiency unmatched by any other player. The league's all-time, regular-season, and postseason scoring leader.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored 38,387 points thanks to a combination of drop steps and sky hooks, overtaking Wilt Chamberlain in 1984 with a sky hook on the right wing against the Utah Jazz, and virtually cementing the record before retiring in 1989, per Yahoo! Sports.
