This 2022-23 NBA season, Dallas Mavericks ace Luka Doncic continues to wow basketball fans with his incredible play, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players ever.

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic continues to wow basketball fans with his incredible performance this 2022-23 NBA season, engraving his name in history as one of the best players ever.

The Slovenian guard has pushed his game to another level after the Mavs lost Jalen Brunson, which was evident in his team's recent victory against LeBron James and the LA Lakers, highlighted by his game-tying three-pointers during crucial moments, Clutch Points reported.

After scoring 35 points in Dallas' 119-115 double-overtime victory over the Lakers, the 23-year-old Doncic became the youngest player since Michael Jordan, who is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players ever, in 1986, to average 40 points or more against a 10-game stretch, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Doncic For MVP

Luka Doncic made history by being the first player in NBA annals to have a 10-game stretch in which he averaged 40.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game. His averages went up after an outstanding triple-double performance against the New York Knicks in which he scored 60 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, and ten assists.

Luka Doncic's outrageous stat line would have been ludicrous if not for his "off night" against the Boston Celtics on January 5, wherein he recorded 23 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.

Throughout ten games from November 26 to December 12, 1986, Michael Jordan scored 411 points, an astounding 41.1 points per game. Over that span, "His Airness" never scored below 37 points and never scored more than 45 points, an unbelievable level of consistency. And it was after Michael Jordan had already missed a large portion of the previous season due to injuries.

As the season progresses, Luka Doncic continues to shatter records and put himself in contention for the MVP award, which Nikola Jokic, the reigning MVP for the second year, currently holds.

The Dallas Mavericks will face Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, and Luka Doncic is expected to extend his historic streak in that game, according to Fastbreak.

Playing Hero For Kids With Health Conditions

Aside from bringing excitement to fans, Luka Doncic also brings happiness to sick children through his charitable organization. During the Christmas Season, the Luka Doncic Foundation surprised 200 pediatric patients at Dallas' Scottish Rite for Children with a party last month.

The celebration was jam-packed with presents, games, and activities that brought smiles to the kids' faces. His foundation aims to boost kids' health and happiness, per a story from the Dallas Mavericks' official website.

The NBA superstar guard also played Santa and distributed gifts of toys, Jordan Brand clothes, and goodie bags to the children of Cleveland while he was away playing on the road. Doncic also provided Christmas Day Lakers game tickets to hospital employees,

In mid-December, the Mavs' main man paid tribute to his roots by devising a special holiday surprise for young patients at a Ljubljana children's hospital in Slovenia. Luka Doncic hopes that his generosity will inspire and delight his beneficiaries.

"They are so brave and strong, and I want them to know I'm thinking of them during the holidays and wishing them all the best in the New Year," he said.
