Police were recently informed about human remains found in Woodland Road, which they soon confirmed not belonging to missing Codi Bigsby.

Codi Bigsby, 4, had first gone missing on Monday, January 31, and it had been almost a year, but the search continues.

Bones Found Not of Codi Bigsby

He disappeared from Hampton, Virginia. The boy's dad, Cory Bigsby, who had told the authorities he was not in their residence at the 100 block of Ranalet Drive in the Buckroe Beach neighborhood, reported Meaww.

One prior statement by the police shot down the notion that the child had just wandered off and that there was a person of interest involved in the case, but it was established that way early in the case.

A new development that the cops looked into was a pile of bones with a blanket that seemed close to the Kilgore Gifted Center, which was immediately investigated as well, noted WTKR.

The Hampton police say they are actively investigating a recent call that mentioned remains in the area of 300 Woodland Road. They added they are getting assistance from a specialist to know whether the remains belong to Codi Bigsby.

But after close inspection by those who analyzed announced they were not the boy, nor are they even human for that matter. Later, a Facebook post announced the end of the report.

"On December 21, 2022, at around 1:36 p.m., Public Safety Communications was informed that remains were lying in the 300 block of Woodland Road," the post continued. Officers were called to the destination and noticed unidentified bones in a duvet along the timberline.

The Norfolk Medical Examiner's Office had been notified for help and attended the scene. The placed remnants have been revealed to be non-human, resembling a mammal.

The Codi Bigsby Case

Klalil Cribbs, United We Stand Hampton Roads president, has spoken to WTKR since Codi mysteriously disappeared for over 200 days. He added that if the same thing happens to his boy, who is ten years old, it is why he is determined and makes people aware. Mentioned the boy might be alive, not deceased, as he pointed out. The boy is out of the state or missing but not dead.

Based on the father admitted to police that he observed his son falling asleep around 2 a.m. However, the child had been missing once Cory awoke. He contends to have extensively investigated the location before contacting the police.

Through February, Codi's father, Cory, was apprehended on criminal negligence charges and transferred to adult intake. He was accused of multiple charges of felony child neglect.

The South Hampton Police stated, "The Hampton Police Division, along with our federal and regional partners, have conducted a very thorough search since the time Codi Bigsby was reported missing. We have covered a tremendous amount of ground, spoken to hundreds of citizens, and followed every possible lead." Codi still needs to be found, and the search efforts to find Codi will continue.
